General Care and Maintenance
NOTE: THIS GAME MUST ONLY BE SER-
VICED BY QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSON-
NEL.
CAUTION: THERE ARE HIGH-VOLTAGE
PARTS IN THIS GAME. BE CAREFUL
WHEN SERVICING THE INSIDE OF THE
GAME. THE GAME SHOULD ALWAYS BE
UNPLUGGED BEFORE SERVICING.
Touchscreen/Joystick Calibration
How To Calibrate:
Find the CALIBRATE button on the OSD
board inside the CPU section, and
press it to enter screen calibration
mode.
Touch the center of the first cross that
appears. Once you release your
finger, a second cross will appear.
NOTE: You must hold your finger on
the cross for approximately 2 seconds
for the calibration to be recognized.
Touch the center of the second cross
that appears on the screen.
Once the second cross is touched and
released, another cross will appear on
the screen. To test the calibration of
the screen, touch the cross with your
finger and slowly drag your finger
around the screen. The cross should
follow your movement.
Touch the EXIT button.
The game will prompt you to go through the
same steps two more times.
The game will then prompt you to cali-
brate the joystick. First, select the joy-
stick model on your game by touching
regulations, for which the operator assumes
full responsibility. Furthermore, players who
pay by credit card in the new country will be
surprised with currency exchange fees,
which will likely lead them to call their credit
card companies, dispute the charge, and
obtain a charge reversal. The net result will
be a credit card payment refund to the play-
ers, which will hurt revenue.
Electronics Tray
The electronics tray houses the
motherboard, I/O board, OSD board, hard
drive, power supply and the main harness.
Unlock and open the rear door to access
the tray (see Figure 34).
To completely remove the tray from the game
the rear cover must be removed. To remove
the cover, turn off and unplug the unit and
reach under the center of the top of the
cover to locate the rotary draw latch (see
Figure 34). Turn the wing on the latch coun-
terclockwise to disengage, then unscrew
the thumbscrew located in the center of the
bottom of the cover (see Figure 34). Slowly
lift the cover and disconnect the ground wire
attached to it. To remove the tray, unscrew
the thumbscrew located in the middle rear
of the tray (see Figure 34), disconnect the
VGA connector and the touchscreen con-
nector from the motherboard and discon-
nect the power cord from the power supply
and slide the tray out of the chassis.
Located on the OSD board on the electron-
ics tray are two buttons, SETUP and CALI-
BRATE (see Figures 34 and 39). Pressing
the SETUP button will bring you to the Mega-
touch Setup Screen. See the next section
for calibration instructions.
Monitor Access
To gain access to the LCD monitor, remove
the screw at the top of the marquee on the
front of the game (see Figure 34); also re-
2
move the two screws on the rear of the
monitor and the center security screw (17”
games) or nut (19” games) inside the chas-
sis securing the monitor enclosure (see Fig-
ure 34).
NOTE: To access the security screw or
nut, the rear cover must be removed.
For instructions on how to remove the
cover, see the previous section.
